The Nintendo
Gaming System
The game systems that have been around for quite some time, offer very addicting and entertaining games. One of the original gaming companies that have been producing these games is Nintendo.
One of the best games that Nintendo is known for are the Mario Brothers. This game centers on two brothers, Mario and Luigi, who are tasked with destroying all of the creatures that inhabit the sewers of New York City. This game followed with numerous sequels that involved other adventures with the two brothers.
The Nintendo Gameboy was a handheld device with classic games such as Tetris and Pokemon. Nintendo came out with a new gaming system called Nintendo 64 in the late 1990's. Some of the games that were played on this system included James Bond, Yoshi, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Star Wars, Mario Party, and Zelda.
The newest gaming system, Nintendo Wii, offers new levels of digital entertainment for its fans. One of the major selling points of the Nintendo Wii gaming system was the interactive nature of the players. The players no longer have to sit done on the couch to use a corded remote controller in order to play the game. With the Wii’s wireless remote controllers, players are always actively involved in the game. A large variety of games were created in order to fully utilize the 'active' nature of the gaming system. For example, there is Wii Sports, which includes soccer, slalom skiing, running, tennis, boxing and bowling. Players are not only able to have fun playing a video game, but are also able to have a good workout.
You can still find the Mario Brothers on the new gaming system. In this game, you race through numerous mazes and tracks that have varying degrees of obstacles. In order to win, you must cross the finish line first. Other popular games include Resident Evil, Guitar Hero, American Idol and Mario Kart.
There are many games for both these platforms that utilize the digital technology that is present in today’s society which produce excellent graphics and endless hours of entertainment.
