It's Always a Good Idea to Take Organization to the Next Level
Like most people, I found the idea of standardized changes within my company to be a bit worrisome. The word had come down that we were using a premium gantt chart solution. Given that most of us didn’t know what that was, I think a bit of trepidation was justified. After using it for a couple weeks we’ve all become more than happy with the decision. The basic idea behind it is that one can organize their thoughts and plans in a way that’s strongly objective based. This makes it a lot easier to not only run a project, but share progress within it with the people around you. We used to wind up with a lot of people giving very vague estimates of their progress. It was usually heavy on feelings and low on solid metrics to really measure where we all were in terms of reaching a goal. However, the charts have allowed us to share things in a concrete manner which have dramatically changed the work environment in all the best ways.
